Timber Strand engineered lumber is a product that takes raw wood that otherwise isn’t ideal for lumber, cuts it into thin strands, and glues it into the various framing components.  We chose I-Level engineered framing products due to their commitment to green and sustainable forestry and manufacturing. Their products also offer the added benefits of increased lumber strength, straightness, resistance to bowing and twisting, as well as low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Low VOC engineered wood helps to improve to overall air quality inside of the home.
